2.A suffucient number of solas life jackets shall be carried for persons on watch(placed on bridge,Egine control room and at any other manned watch station) and for remotely located survival craft stations.

Requirements:

1.Life the mouth of an exhausted or unconscious person not less than 120mm clear of the water with the coody inclined backwords at an angle of not less than 20 degree from the vertical position.

2.Turn the body of an unconscious person in the water from any position to one where the mouth is clear of the water in not more than 5 seconds.

3.Shall have buoyancy which is not reduced by more than 5% after 24 hours submersion in fresh water
